DR ZAMAHLUBI
psychiatry
Dr Zamahlubi Dlamini completed her undergraduate medical degree (MBBCh) at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she developed a keen interest in the relationship between emotional wellbeing, physical health, and social context.
She went on to specialise in Psychiatry at the University of the Witwatersrand, earning her Master of Medicine (MMed) in Psychiatry and a Fellowship of the College of Psychiatry (FC Psych), qualifying as a Specialist Psychiatrist through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
During her training, she gained extensive experience across inpatient and outpatient settings, including exposure to neuropsychiatry and adolescent mental health. Her academic research explored “The attitudes of the Christian community toward mental illness and the mentally ill”, highlighting her ongoing interest in the intersection between culture, spirituality, and mental health. This was published in the South African Journal of Psychiatry
Dr Dlamini remains actively engaged in academic psychiatry and continuous learning, ensuring her practice reflects both scientific evidence and a deeply person-centred approach to care.

providing thoughtful and developmentally appropriate care for young people navigating emotional or behavioural difficulties.
Spirituality and Mental Health
exploring the role of personal belief systems, meaning, and values in promoting resilience and healing.
